I set up this blog to share interior design, travel and lifestyle inspiration for simple, relaxed living at home and beyond. You’ll find home tours, advice and tips, interviews, reviews, postcards from places I love and more – always with a focus on minimalism, muted colours and timeless, considered design.

Even after going to our farm store…who should know the difference between hay and straw, we still had a ton of seed in the straw we spread on our garden. The frustration I felt as little sprouts of grass starting popping up all in our rows was…well frustrating.

We’re not panicking though. Grass is growing and we’re just pulling it up as it grows. No big deal.

I will say it is very annoying to see all the grass growing up. Even hand picking it can’t quite keep up so we’ll do what we can this year. And then when we plant our cover crop for the fall, hopefully we can take care of the remaining grass.

It’s a slow process for sure. But that’s the whole point of being in a garden right? To be there, to learn, and to enjoy watching things grow…even the weeds.
